LIVE CHATQUAKE ARCADE / OBS PREVIEW

Let the paper roll. The first eruption arrives around 35 seconds.

01 / SEE THE MOMENT

A pulse for your community

A red pen tracks chat live. Big reactions turn into quakes with their own magnitude and epicenter.

02 / FEEL THE IMPACT

Did you feel it?

Viewers type !felt to report the shaking. Watch the intensity climb from I to X.

03 / FIND THE CLIP

Keep the good parts

Export your quake catalog as CSV, JSON, or YouTube chapters. Give your editor a head start.

On stream in three steps.

1. Enter your channel

Copy the overlay URL above. Chatquake listens anonymously to public Twitch chat.

2. Add an OBS Browser Source

Set width to 1920 and height to 1080 . Paste your URL. The background is transparent.

3. Keep your catalog open

Open the catalog in your browser during the stream. Let chat settle for 30 seconds, then watch for a quake.

The chat is in control.

Command Who What happens
!felt Everyone Report a quake, once per viewer, during it or within 60 seconds.
!cq mark great save Broadcaster / mods Add a named timestamp to the catalog.
!cq test Broadcaster / mods Fire a TEST quake to check your scene.
!cq reset Broadcaster / mods Clear the catalog and restart the session clock.

Small chat. Big energy.

Magnitude is relative to your channel's baseline. Five viewers can make the earth move just as much as fifty thousand.

ratio = mean rate over 5 s / mean rate over 180 s
M = 1 + 2 log10(peak ratio) + 0.6 log10(1 + unique chatters)

After a 30-second warmup, a ratio of 3 with at least four messages starts a quake. The long-term baseline freezes during shaking. Magnitude rounds to one decimal, between 1.0 and 9.9.

Shaking ends after four seconds below the trigger-off ratio or 30% of peak activity. Every quake ends within 90 seconds.

n(t) = K / (t + 30)^1.1
K = 0.002 × 10^(0.5 × (M - 1))
P(at least one aftershock) = 1 - exp(-∫ n(t) dt)

The forecast borrows the modified Omori law and a playful Bath's-law-inspired scaling. It is entertainment, not a calibrated prediction.

Your chat, your browser.

Anonymous and read-only. No OAuth, tokens, or server-side chat storage. Your catalog lives in this browser, including up to three short message samples per quake. Add samples=0 to disable samples. Export before clearing browser data.

Chatquake cannot post messages or create Twitch stream markers. CSV and chapters are your export path. OBS and your browser have separate storage, so keep the catalog page running while you stream.
